"If you love Me..." John 14:16 - 31

In last week's podcast, Jesus said that if we love Him, we will obey him. The thought is continued in this week's message. Do we really love Him? I know that I have written about this more than once in these introductions, but as long as our Messiah keeps bring it up, I feel like it is worth driving home. Having said that, I will ask again, do we really love Him? Do we really obey His words?

Jesus said that the words that He speaks are not His own, but those of the Father. This begs the question, "what are the Father's words?" This is more challenging then you would first expect... or is it? We know that wrapped up in the words of the Father are the very Laws of Torah - all of those statutes and instructions that Moses gave in the first five books of the bible. Do those count? Remember, there are traditionally 613 Laws in the "Old Testament" but did you know that (according to one commentary) there are 1050 in the "New Testament." Yes, 1050.
It is definitely worth thinking about, especially if we intend to please our Master!
Shabbat Shalom guys, may the Lord bless you!

Hello, I am really keen to hear more of your broadcasts; the only one that I can access is the one form April 'Jesus commanded us not to think somethning'. I am not able to download or listen to the majority of the broadcasts either via the site or iTunes, I get a bad gateway error. Is it possible that this can be looked into? i live in the UK and we don;t have much hebraic root/messianic teaching available to us - so this is most welcome.

Many Thanks
NHJ

Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to contact us concerning the podcast! After looking into the problem, I have come to the conclusion that the problem is in the MyPodcast server. I will continue to try tweaking the code, and see what I can fix on our side. In the meantime, if you would like for me to send you links to download each episode form another server, please email me at: romans833@yah.com. Just put TWIG in the subject.
Thanks again, and sorry for the inconvenience.

Here at the Carpenter's Shop, we believe Yeshua when He states in Matthew 5:17 "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill." We have come to know that our Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus), was a Torah observant, Jewish Rabbi who will one day return to reign from David's throne in Jerusalem. We believe that we are saved by the redemptive work that Yeshua accomplished on the cross; we are saved by the grace of God (Hashem), not by observing Torah. We observe Torah because we are saved, out of obedience to God's Word.
