The Word Is Grace
"The Word Is Grace" is brought to you by The Carpenter's Shop, located at 1201 East Elmore Street in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Our Sabbath services begin at 3:30 every Saturday afternoon. Listen with us as Bible teachers Jim Denman and Tim Terry examine our faith in Messiah Yeshua (Christ Jesus), with a Hebraic perspective. What did Jesus eat? How did He dress? Is the Torah still valid to believers today? Did He really say that there are only two laws that we have to follow now? Did God change His requirements for salvation after the cross? Is the Sabbath on Sunday or Saturday; was it changed? Join us as we seek answers to these questions, with balance and a humble reverence for God's Word.
"The REAL 'Lord's Prayer'" John 17:1 - 11

Welcome back to The Word Is Grace!
When you think of "the Lord's Prayer" what usually comes to mind? If you are like most believers, the words, "Our Father, who art in heaven..." immediately come to mind. Of course, this is how Jesus told His disciples that they should pray, but how and what did HE pray? The answer is in John Chapter 17. In this prayer, Jesus allows us to hear exactly what He prayed for - and what He did not pray for. For instance, He prayed for you, the believer in 2009, listening to this podcast... but He didn't pray for the world as a whole! How can that be? didn't God "so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son?" Yes... but He prays for those who are His in His last hours.
come with us as we look at this intense section of Yeshua's thoughts and prayers - you will be surprised by what He says, and what He does not say. We will also be taking a look at the concept of being "one" with Him, as He is "one" with the Father. How does that work?
We would like to thank the visitors who drove such long distances to be with us this Sabbath; your presence was really a blessing to our congregation, and we would like to see you all again!
Thanks for listening to The Word Is Grace,
Shabbat Shalom!

Here at the Carpenter's Shop, we believe Yeshua when He states in Matthew 5:17 "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill." We have come to know that our Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus), was a Torah observant, Jewish Rabbi who will one day return to reign from David's throne in Jerusalem. We believe that we are saved by the redemptive work that Yeshua accomplished on the cross; we are saved by the grace of God (Hashem), not by observing Torah. We observe Torah because we are saved, out of obedience to God's Word.

Thankfully that which was "decaying and waxing old" DID "vanish away" with the destruction of the eathly kingdom centered in yerusalem.
"THY Kingdom" HAD "Come" as The Messiah then delivered up The Kingdom unto Our Father.
As for the gentiles(heathens) who believed in and received of The Messiah after His resurrection?
Acts 15:13-21 "And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, listen to me: Simeon has declared how G-D at the first did visit the gentiles, and took out of them a people for HIS Name. And this agrees with the words of the prophets; as it is written, "After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: That the residue of men might seek after G-D, and all the gentiles, upon whom MY Name is called" said G-D, WHO does all these things.
Known unto G-D are all HIS works from the beginning of the world.
Therefore my sentence is, that we do not trouble them, who from among the gentiles are turned to G-D, but that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from bloodshed.
For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day."
"Where The Spirit of The Messiah is there is Liberty", only "use not this Liberty for an occasion of the flesh, but by Love serve one another".......
"Why is my Liberty judged of another man's conscience?"
